In 1964, a seed was planted. Kodaira City established a branch of the fourth elementary school. This seed would soon blossom into the independent Kodaira Shiritsu Kodaira Daiju Shogakko. The school officially opened its doors on April 1, 1965. Imagine the excitement of those first students, stepping into a brand new school. Kodaira Shiritsu Kodaira Daiju Shogakko quickly established its own identity. By 1966, the school had crafted its own charter, solidifying its principles and vision. Over the years, Kodaira Shiritsu Kodaira Daiju Shogakko continued to grow and evolve. A gymnasium was completed in 1974, providing a space for students to engage in physical activities. Just a year later, in 1975, further developments took place. A major milestone was reached in 1985 with the completion of a new school building. This marked a significant upgrade to the school’s facilities. Kodaira Shiritsu Kodaira Daiju Shogakko also underwent renovations to its pool in 1992. This ensured that students had access to modern aquatic facilities. In 2002, both the school building and gymnasium were reinforced to withstand earthquakes. This demonstrated the city’s commitment to student safety. Most recently, in 2010, the library was renovated. This provided students with an updated space for learning and exploration. Even today, Kodaira Shiritsu Kodaira Daiju Shogakko serves the community. It provides education for children in the designated school zone. This zone includes specific areas within Kamisui Honcho and feeds into both Kodaira Shiritsu Kodaira Daiyon Chugakko and Kodaira Shiritsu Kamisui Chugakko. The school stands as a testament to the city’s dedication to education and the nurturing of future generations.
