“Be Your Best at Baycrest” is a student recognition award. Former Baycrest students created it. Children chosen for this monthly award receive a RAP certificate. R stands for respect. A means always try your best. P stands for play, learn, and share cooperatively.
Character Education certificates are distributed each month. One Primary Division student and one Junior Division student receive one. Each month focuses on one attribute. These include respect, responsibility, empathy, and kindness. Other attributes are caring, teamwork, fairness, honesty, cooperation, integrity, and perseverance.
Baycrest Public School refines literacy programs in all classrooms. These include Read-Alouds to Guided/Independent Reading. They also include Write-Alouds to Independent Writing.
