Farstaväggen Graffiti offers a legal space for artists. They exhibit their work and transform the area. Each spring, a street art festival occurs here. Artists from all over Sweden and Europe participate. They completely transform the walls.
Imagine walking along 4.5 km of walls. Remarkable pieces are showcased. It’s hard to believe they’re created with spray cans.
In 2014, the property owners allowed graffiti artists to paint the walls. It became one of Europe’s largest graffiti exhibitions. This Wall of Fame is south of Stockholm in Rågsved.
Getting here is an adventure. Take the metro to Rågsved station. Take a left from the only exit. Cross the park. Cross the small street. Ask for directions. It’s a 15-20 minute walk.
Once, an event called Spring Beat happened here. It kicked off the new year of murals. There was live music, DJs, and live painting. Visitors could watch art being created.
Visitors walk along the street. They admire colorful and creative artworks. The area is a long-time-forgotten industrial zone.
