It’s the starting point for the Werrong Beach track. This challenging track leads down to Werrong Beach, a secluded nude beach known for its beauty and powerful rips and rocks, making it unsafe for swimming. From Werrong Lookout, you can witness the dramatic sandstone cliffs and the transition into a coastal rainforest filled with cabbage tree palms and ferns. The track itself is steep and requires a good level of fitness. The beach below is a haven for those who appreciate nature in its purest form. Be aware that it’s a designated nude beach. If you’re lucky, you might spot silver gulls and even sea eagles soaring above. Bring binoculars for potential whale sightings. Remember to pack a picnic to enjoy on the beach. You’ll need the energy for the climb back up to Werrong Lookout. While the beach is beautiful, remember swimming isn’t permitted due to the strong rips and currents.
