The Rotary Club Campsite is nestled in Tai Mo Shan Country Park. It is near the Rotary Park Barbecue Site and Twisk Road. Breathe deeply. You will find lovely scents of flowers like Aglaia odorata here. Sweet Osmanthus Flower and Michelia figo also grow nearby.

The barbecue site beside the Rotary Club Campsite provides ample space for activities. From the viewing point campers enjoy open views. Tsuen Wan and Tsing Yi spread out before you.

This is a small campsite. It has less than 20 tent spaces. The Rotary Club Campsite offers basic facilities. Barbecue pits, benches and tables are available. Drains are also provided. The hygienic facilities include flushing toilets and sinks. You can get water from a tap here.

While visiting the Rotary Club Campsite explore Tai Mo Shan Country Park Visitor Centre. The Exhibition Gallery has six themes. These themes cover Tai Mo Shan Country Park and climate change. Several country trails start near the Rotary Club Campsite. Try the Tai Mo Shan Family Walk for an easy stroll. The Twisk Nature Trail offers more to explore. MacLehose Trail Stages 8 and 9 are nearby. Stage 8 heads toward Shing Mun Reservoir. Stage 9 leads towards Tuen Mun.

Rotary has a rich history in China. The first club was chartered in Shanghai in 1919. It was the second in Asia. This English-language club included Americans and British. It soon welcomed other nationalities. Prominent local Chinese businessmen joined.

Rotary flourished in China before 1949. It spawned 33 clubs throughout the mainland. After 1949 Rotarians could not meet easily. Most members moved abroad. Rotary International disbanded the remaining clubs in 1952.

Today Rotary thrives again in China. There are now several chartered and provisional Rotary Clubs in mainland China.
