Seminole Church of Christ. It’s more than just a building. It is a community. A beacon. It stands at 4740 Wishart Blvd in Tampa.
Let’s step back in time. The local congregation formed in 1958. Soon after they moved into this building. For over six decades Seminole Church of Christ has been a place of gathering. It has been a place of worship.
Robert Schales leads here. He arrived not long ago. However, he brought 35 years of experience. He studied at Harding College in Arkansas. There he earned a master’s degree. Robert is married to Martha. They have a son named Christopher.
Seminole Church of Christ offers many services. Sunday Bible classes start at 9:30 a.m. Sunday worship begins at 10:30 a.m. There is also Sunday evening worship at 5 p.m. Wednesday brings Bible classes for all ages at 7:30 p.m.
For children, there’s Bible Lab. It happens on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Children up to high school age can participate. They learn fundamental Bible teachings. They progress at their own pace.
Seminole Church of Christ also has studies for women. A men’s group also exists.
The church has about 150 members. A notable feature is the absence of musical instruments. The congregation sings hymns a cappella. Their voices blend in harmony. The sound fills the space.
Seminole Church of Christ continues to be a spiritual home. It is a place where faith and community intertwine. It offers support. It offers guidance. It offers a sense of belonging. Consider the invitation.
