The Mittlerer Eichberg is part of the Wienerwald mountains. These mountains are the northeasternmost extension of the Eastern Alps. A brook flows from the Mittlerer Eichberg’s southwest slope. This brook feeds the Gütenbach. Another brook flows east of the mountain also feeding the Gütenbach.

Consider the Kleefrischewiese. This meadow lies to the north of the Mittlerer Eichberg. Its name might come from the clover grown there in the 18th century. It could also be named after a previous owner.

The Mittlerer Eichberg consists of Flysch rock. This is from the Hütteldorf Formation. This rock formed between the Cenomanium and Santonium ages.

What is the weather like here? The average high temperature in July and August is 80°F. January sees an average high of only 38°F. The area receives about 1.64 inches of precipitation annually.
