Contemplate this: What began as the first private school in the Czech Republic after 1948 is now PORG Libeň. Founded in 1990, PORG Libeň started a new chapter in Czech education. It dared to be different.

PORG Libeň stands as a beacon of academic excellence. It emphasizes individual growth. Mutual respect and tolerance are core values here. The school wants to develop self-reliant students. PORG operates four schools today. You can find them in Prague-Libeň, Prague-Krč, Ostrava, and Brno.

Ondřej Šteffl founded PORG. He led the school until 1995. The early years focused on experiments. They trialed new methods. They created innovative teaching styles. From 1998 to 2014, Václav Klaus Jr. was headmaster. He is the son of the former Czech president.

In 2007, PORG received a large donation. It totaled one hundred million Czech crowns. Ten million went directly to PORG Libeň. The remaining funds helped build Nový PORG in Prague 4. Martin Roman, director of ČEZ, provided the gift.
