Albion Gardens Presbyterian

In 1957, a seed of faith was planted in the Albion Gardens community. Albion Gardens Presbyterian Church was established. Reverend Frank Slavic, a devoted man with a vision, initially held services in the humble setting of his own home. This marked the beginning of a spiritual journey for the congregation. A connection with Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church provided initial support. However, by 1959, Albion Gardens Presbyterian Church stood on its own. Reverend Slavic continued to guide the growing congregation. The year 1961 marked a significant milestone. The present church building at 80 Thistle Down Boulevard was erected, a testament to the community’s dedication and faith. The church became a focal point. It offered solace and spiritual guidance. Years passed, and Albion Gardens Presbyterian Church remained a steadfast presence. In 2002, it welcomed new members from the closing Thistletown United Church. The church continued to evolve. In 2011, Albion Gardens Presbyterian Church embarked on an amalgamation process with Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church, ultimately forming Fellowship Presbyterian Church. This union marked a new chapter, but the legacy of Albion Gardens Presbyterian Church and its impact on the community remain.
