Rathaus

You are standing in front of the Rathaus, Zurich’s stately Town Hall. It is on the right bank of the Limmat River, a stone’s throw from the Münsterbrücke. Built in the late 17th century, the Rathaus replaced an older, wooden building from the 14th century. The Rathaus is a blend of styles, with Baroque elements embellishing a Renaissance foundation.
