Established in 1880 Senshu University stands proudly in Tokyo. It began as Senshu College a pioneering institution. Four founders returned from studying in America. They brought back advanced Western knowledge. Their vision was to create a school unlike any other in Japan. Senshu College became the first to teach law and economics in Japanese. This was a bold move. It challenged the existing educational system. The founders Nagatane Soma Tanetaro Megata Inajiro Taziri and Shigetada Komai are remembered for their forward-thinking approach.
