You see, the desire for a local parish echoed among the faithful in Zakręt as early as 1992. Tragically, the driving force behind this, Ks. Józef Iwaniuk, passed away in 1993. But the dream didn’t die. Ks. Jerzy Banak took up the mantle, and an agreement with the local government led to an incredible transformation. They repurposed an old school building, breathing new life into its walls as a temporary chapel in 1993. It wasn’t until 1996 that Bishop Kazimierz Romaniuk formally established the Parafia Świętego Pawła Apostoła w Zakręcie, marking a triumph of perseverance and community spirit.
