Established as a humble school for construction craftsmen in 1832 the Hochschule f\u00fcr Technik Stuttgart stands as a testament to Stuttgart’s dedication to technical education. During World War II in 1944 the school building suffered destruction. Undeterred classes continued in makeshift accommodations. Reconstruction began in 1947. By 1971 the institution gained recognition as a Fachhochschule or University of Applied Sciences. This elevated its status within the German education system.

Today the Hochschule f\u00fcr Technik Stuttgart boasts three faculties. These encompass architecture and design civil engineering building physics and business management and geomatics computer science and mathematics. These faculties offer a diverse array of programs.
