Leung Shek Chee College shattered the Guinness World Record for “Most electrical energy generated by pedaling on bicycles in 8 hours”. Students and teachers, united in their purpose, pedaled their way to history. They generated a staggering 13484 watt-hours. This feat of endurance showcased the college’s spirit and commitment to pushing boundaries. Leung Shek Chee College, established in 1977 by the Sheng Kung Hui Good Shepherd Sisters, is a girls’ secondary school in Kwun Tong. Originally managed by the Sheng Kung Hui Good Shepherd Sisters, it was later handed over to the Hong Kong Protestant Church Council in 1997. The school boasts a rich history. It was built with the help of government funding and donations from Mr. Leung Shek Chee. The school is named in his honor. Leung Shek Chee College even had to temporarily borrow the campus of the Lam Tin Hong Kong Pak Hoh Association Primary School. This was due to construction delays. The school finally settled into its current premises in 1979. Today, Leung Shek Chee College offers classes from Form 1 to Form 6. It has over 700 students and 27 classes. The campus covers an area of 5,000 square meters. It features 29 classrooms, 4 science labs, 2 computer rooms, and numerous special rooms. The school embraces its motto, “The Lord is My Strength”. It fosters a vibrant extracurricular scene. It provides diverse activities for students. It aims to nurture leadership skills, teamwork, and creativity.
