“Yamaha Belinya Pasti di Bisma.” Does that jingle spark your curiosity? It should because we’re standing in front of Yamaha, operated by Bisma Tunas Jaya, right here in Denpasar. This isn’t just another motorcycle shop. It’s a landmark. Yamaha Bisma is more than just a dealership. It’s a Bali institution.

Yamaha Bisma’s story began in 1969. Bapak and Ibu Putu Cayadi Bisma founded it. Their passion for Yamaha fueled their ambition. They aimed to grow Yamaha’s presence across Bali. From its humble start on Jalan Gajah Mada, Yamaha Bisma became the first Yamaha Main Dealer in Bali.

Over time Yamaha Bisma evolved. It adapted to the ever-changing automotive world. The company achieved many milestones. One notable achievement was the Main Dealer Award from Yamaha Indonesia. These accomplishments motivated Yamaha Bisma. They strived to excel in sales, service, and spare parts.

Yamaha Bisma’s impact extends throughout Denpasar and Badung. They have nine branches. Each location proudly carries the Yamaha name. Yamaha Bisma Sentral leads the way. Yamaha Bisma Bintang Muda Mandiri on Cokroaminoto Street offers expert service. You can find Yamaha Bisma Hasanudin and Yamaha Bisma Dalung. Yamaha Bisma Tri Tunggal Sejahtera is located on Gatot Subroto Street. Yamaha Bisma Imam Bonjol provides support. Further locations include Yamaha Bisma Mandiri, Yamaha Bisma WR Supratman and Yamaha Bisma Sunset Road.

But wait there’s more to Yamaha Bisma. It is a main spare parts dealer. This makes it Bali’s largest supplier. It is the only Yamaha dealer in Bali selling CBU motorcycles. CBU means “Completely Built Up”. These motorcycles are directly imported.

Yamaha’s history in Indonesia stretches back to 1974. PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing was established. It started in Pulogadung, Jakarta. Later expansions included Bekasi and Karawang. In 1990 PT YIMM joined forces with other companies. This strengthened their business.

Globally Yamaha Motor has been crafting its legacy. They focus on refining casting technology. Yamaha believes in nurturing its personnel. They see manufacturing as intertwined with human development. This is reflected in the phrase “Monozukuri is Hitozukuri.” It means that making products also means developing people.

In 1996 Yamaha Motor established PT. Yamaha Motor Parts Manufacturing Indonesia. It’s a motorcycle parts manufacturing facility. It is located in Indonesia. Full-scale production started the following year. Before that parts casting was small-scale. It was part of broader operations. These ranged from painting to assembly. The new casting division boosted production volume and quality.

Yamaha excels in producing 2-stroke engines. These are known for being low cost, light and compact. However environmental concerns prompted a shift. Yamaha transitioned to 4-stroke engines. By the mid-1990s this change reached ASEAN countries. Establishing a casting factory in Indonesia became essential. It facilitated the switch to 4-stroke engines. It also met local production requirements.

Yamaha maintains consistent manufacturing standards worldwide. They ensure each overseas base mirrors the “mother factory” in Japan. This includes using the same equipment, materials and casting methods. This ensures uniform high-quality parts whether made in Japan or elsewhere.

Yamaha prioritizes personnel training. They transfer new technologies and Monozukuri practices. Local workers adopt them enthusiastically. This drives the globalization of quality manufacturing forward.

So as you stand here remember Yamaha Bisma’s journey. From a local dealer to a key player. Yamaha Bisma fuels Bali’s passion for motorcycles. It also embodies Yamaha’s global commitment to quality and innovation.
