From humble beginnings in a garage did Word for the World Christian Fellowship rise. It all started as a small Bible study group in 1980. Fifteen people gathered in the Holloway’s garage. This small group quickly grew. By November 1980 forty people met at the Hotel Intercontinental in Makati. The Word for the World Christian Fellowship Manila had begun its remarkable journey.
The church’s growth was nothing short of phenomenal. It rapidly outgrew its initial venues. Services were soon held simultaneously at the Hotel Intercontinental and the Rizal Theater. This demonstrates the immense popularity and spiritual impact of WWCF. The need for even larger spaces led to services in the ACCM building. The sanctuary was always packed. People flocked to experience the powerful worship and anointed Word.
The Manila church’s success inspired expansion. Other WWCF churches sprouted in major Philippine cities like Greenhills Quezon City and Cebu. The fellowship’s influence expanded internationally. Churches were established in Hong Kong Singapore Australia and even North America. This demonstrates the global reach of the WWCF’s mission.
Word for the World’s story is one of remarkable growth and expansion. Starting as a small Bible study the church has become a significant global presence. It began in a garage. Now it has numerous branches in many cities and countries. The Manila church remains a testament to the power of faith and community. It’s a place where people come together to worship and grow spiritually. The WWCF’s lasting legacy in Manila is its powerful message of hope and faith.
