Standing in front of Wrotham School, it’s impossible not to be struck by its story. This little village school, once a small rural village primary, wasn’t always a hub of learning for children, and it was certainly not always an academy. It was founded in 1949. In its early years, Wrotham School was a place where young minds could escape the hustle and bustle of city life. In fact, it was placed in the top 3% nationally in 2012. Then, in 2013, it embarked on a journey as an academy, becoming a part of the Character Education Trust, with its focus on providing high-quality academics and character development. The school itself is in the heart of Kent, surrounded by beautiful countryside, and within a short (five-minute) drive from the A20/M20. The local station is a 10-minute walk and is on the direct line from Victoria Station in London. Wrotham School is a testament to the transformative power of education, its commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment where students can embrace challenges and discover their potential. Today, the school is a shining example of success, its students benefiting from its dedication to high expectations and the opportunity to learn – a place where young minds are challenged to be the best they can be.
