Woodlands Park is more than just houses among trees. It’s a community with a rich history. Woodlands Park started as farmland in the 1860s. For decades, the primary access was via a dock at Little Muddy Creek. Roads eventually became more common, transforming the area. In the early 20th century, Woodlands Park was part of the McEldowney fruit farm. This land was owned by an Irish immigrant family, adding another layer to the suburb’s story. Woodlands Park today covers 1.30 square kilometers. The 2023 census counted 1,056 residents. Most of the houses date back to the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, blending seamlessly into the native bush.
