Wenxuan Building of Medicine

June 5th, 2021, marked a pivotal moment at the Wenxuan Building of Medicine. The air buzzed with excitement. The first exhibition of undergraduate graduation projects from Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s School of Biomedical Engineering was underway. The theme, “Lighting the Future of Diagnosis and Treatment,” resonated within the Wenxuan Building of Medicine’s walls. The Wenxuan Building of Medicine became a showcase for innovation. Experts from various fields gathered, including Liu Baolin, Dean of the School of Medical Devices and Food, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, and Yu Hongyi, Vice Dean of Shanghai Medical Device Inspection and Research Institute. They joined other scholars and industry leaders to witness the culmination of years of study within the Wenxuan Building of Medicine. The projects on display tackled major human diseases and clinical needs. The students’ dedication to pushing the boundaries of biomedical engineering was evident in their work displayed at the Wenxuan Building of Medicine. Ji Bo, Party Committee Secretary of the College, addressed the attendees at the Wenxuan Building of Medicine. He emphasized the significance of this first-ever exhibition. He highlighted the college’s commitment to innovative teaching and talent training in biomedical engineering within the Wenxuan Building of Medicine. The Wenxuan Building of Medicine became a symbol of the intersection of medical and engineering disciplines. The exhibition concluded with awards and a “BME Lecture” by Wang Lihua, Director of Yuyue Medical, held inside the Wenxuan Building of Medicine. The lecture focused on the innovation path of medical device companies, offering valuable insights to the budding engineers. The Wenxuan Building of Medicine stood as a testament to the future of biomedical engineering, promising advancements in diagnosis and treatment.
