The Becelli family, feudal lords from Costermano, showcased their impeccable taste with this architectural masterpiece. The villa’s stunning location is further enhanced by its remarkable gardens. These gardens, crafted in the 19th century, offer a verdant oasis surrounding Villa Becelli Albertini. They complement the villa’s grandeur perfectly. Following King Carlo Alberto’s triumph over the Austrians in August 1848, he assumed the governorship of Lombardy. Consequently, the king also received the annexation act to Piedmont. The villa’s current name, Villa Becelli Albertini, pays homage to Count Degli Albertini, who acquired the property in the 18th century. During the 19th century, he transformed the villa, incorporating elements of a classic medieval castle. Over the years, Villa Becelli Albertini has welcomed many distinguished guests. One of the most notable was King Karl Albert, who resided there in 1848 during the First Independence War.
