What whispers of untold stories does the Untitled Sculpture hold? Here at the LA Waterfront, this bronze abstract sculpture speaks volumes about the Los Angeles Harbor. The sculpture isn’t just a static piece of art. It’s a narrative woven in bronze, a tribute to the harbor’s vital role in the shipping industry. The Untitled Sculpture also acknowledges the watchful presence of the Angels Gate Lighthouse at the harbor entrance. Notice the twin spires rising above the central image of a container ship. They subtly mirror the elegant lines of the nearby Vincent Thomas Bridge. This piece, designed by John Okulick and Chad Ben-Artzi, became a part of the LA Waterfront landscape in 1994 during the Beacon Street Redevelopment. The Untitled Sculpture stands as a testament to the harbor’s past and present, a silent storyteller amidst the bustling activity of the waterfront.
