Its original home was sadly demolished. This made way for The Knoll apartments. Since 2012 University Lutheran Chapel found temporary refuge in a former sorority house. This was known as Luther House. Luther House served as a vibrant hub for students. It was a place to study pray and connect. But the dream of a dedicated chapel persisted. University Lutheran Chapel’s congregation worked tirelessly. They raised funds from across the globe. They didn’t just rely on their own members. Christians from all over contributed. Their collective efforts are now visible. The new University Lutheran Chapel is nearing completion. It will stand proudly next to Luther House. Pastor David Kind envisioned a space that would separate work and worship. This new building will achieve this vision. The design blends traditional Christian aesthetics with modern elements. The hope is for completion by March. This would allow for dedication before Pastor Kind’s sabbatical. The new University Lutheran Chapel is more than a building. It’s a symbol of perseverance.
