You might be surprised to find out that this very building, Trinity City Church, has a history that reads like a novel. Back in 2008, Bryan and Tracy Lair moved back to Minnesota with a big dream, to start a church in the energetic cityscape of Saint Paul. Imagine this, a young couple with a profound vision, fueled by their faith, ready to establish a community of faith in a vibrant, diverse city.
It all started in 2009, with their first gathering in a humble house in Highland Park. But the church quickly took root, reaching more and more people and needing a dedicated space to call home. That’s where Trinity City Church’s current home, on Marshall Avenue, came in. In 2010, it marked the church’s official launch. Things were moving fast and the church’s commitment to building relationships within the community became evident. There was a constant need for space, so much so that they even moved their Sunday services temporarily to a different address in 2013, to accommodate the ever-growing congregation.
But Trinity City Church’s connection to this very building persisted and in 2015, they returned to their original home on Marshall Ave, celebrating the opportunity to continue fostering their vibrant community within its welcoming walls.
From the beginning, it wasn’t just about building a church, it was about building a movement. Trinity City Church has always been dedicated to reaching out to other ministries, both locally and globally. They invested in planting and revitalizing other churches, sending out interns and residents, coaching leaders, all with the goal of expanding the spirit of faith, of making the gospel a part of every community.
So here you stand, in front of Trinity City Church, a place that represents more than just a building. It’s a testament to the heart of a community, a vibrant tapestry woven with faith, love, and a commitment to spreading the gospel with warmth and purpose.
