Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang is under the Muhammadiyah organization. It stands as a testament to their dedication. They are committed to enlightening the nation.
It all began on June 1 1993. At that time, STIE Muhammadiyah Tangerang was established. It was an effort of the Muhammadiyah organization. The Majelis DIKTILITBANG Muhammadiyah oversaw it. Later, in 2000, STAI Muhammadiyah Tangerang was founded. STIKES Muhammadiyah Tangerang followed in 2004. All three institutions were under the Muhammadiyah leadership of Tangerang City.
As time passed, the Muhammadiyah leadership recommended establishing Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang between 2005 and 2010. The three existing schools agreed to unite. They would work together to form UMT. The Ministry of National Education responded positively. On August 3 2009, UMT received official permission. This was marked by decree number 109.
Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang has a rich variety of faculties. These faculties include Economics and Business. There is also Islamic Studies. The Faculty of Health is also present. Teacher Training and Education are available. Law and Social and Political Sciences exist too. Furthermore, you can find Engineering. Rounding it out is Tourism and Creative Industry.
More than 20000 students pursue degrees here. Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang offers bachelor programs. These programs use Bahasa Indonesia for instruction. Graduates receive degrees from UMT.
