More than seven decades ago a seed of education was planted in Campo Grande. It blossomed into the Colegio Afonso Celso. This educational project served the needs and culture of Rio’s West Zone. This is the story of UniMSB – Centro Universitário Moacyr Sereder Bastos.
In 1969 a new chapter opened. The Faculty of Economics Accounting and Administrative Moacyr Sreder Bastos was born. It was the first university teaching unit. This marked a significant step in expanding higher education opportunities in the area.

The campus itself is impressive. It has two entrances making it easily accessible. Buildings A B C and D are close to the main entrance on Rua Trinity Engineer. Building E Evandro Lins e Silva is accessed via Rua Costa Amaral.
The campus houses a wide range of facilities. There’s a theater a cinema a multi-sport gym and various labs. A media center supports journalism and advertising students. The core legal practice area includes labs a courtroom and a judge’s room. There’s even a UniMSB art gallery and a library. Parking is available for students with special needs teachers and employees.
