Behold the Universidad Estatal del Valle de Ecatepec. It is commonly known as UNEVE. UNEVE’s story began in 2001. The State of Mexico founded it. It emerged from an agreement between the Ministry of Public Education and the state government. This collaboration provided the foundation for UNEVE’s creation. It supported its operation and funding.

Initially, UNEVE was located within the Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Ecatepec. The university started with two innovative degree programs. These were in Chiropractic, Medical Acupuncture, and Integral Rehabilitation.

In 2004, UNEVE added Gerontology. 2005 saw the arrival of Multimedia Communication Engineering. Finally, in 2009, Humanities-Business began.

UNEVE is known for its forward-thinking approach. It provides in-demand programs with limited availability in Mexico. The university’s motto encapsulates its mission. It is “non nova, sed secus nova.” This Latin phrase translates to “nothing new, but in a different way.” This reflects UNEVE’s commitment to innovation.

UNEVE has about 2,000 students. It offers seven degree programs. UNEVE hosts academic and cultural events. These include symposia and classical music concerts.

UNEVE provides a range of undergraduate programs. These programs aim to provide a competitive edge. They focus on emerging job market needs. The university offers degrees in health, administration, and engineering. These include Chiropractic and Human Rehabilitation Acupuncture. There is also Airport Logistics Engineering and Gerontology. Other options are Humanities-Business, Multimedia Communication Engineering, and Gastronomy.

UNEVE partners with the National Polytechnic Institute and the University of Andalusia. Together, they created a Master’s in Sports and Exercise Sciences in 2017. This program supports the development of high-performance athletes. UNEVE also offers a Master’s in Acupuncture Sciences.

For students who cannot attend campus, UNEVE offers online programs. These include Acupuncture, Multimedia Communication, and Gerontology. Students can also study Humanities-Business and Chiropractic online. Airport Logistics is also available.

The cost of attending UNEVE involves several fees. There are charges for admission exams, registration, and re-registration. A semester costs around $2,936. UNEVE offers various scholarships. These scholarships support academic excellence and students with specific needs. There are programs for indigenous students and students with disabilities. There are also scholarships for mothers who are studying.

UNEVE’s campus is located on Avenida Central in Ecatepec de Morelos. It features a library named “Fabrizio Mancini”. It also has a comprehensive university clinic and a grand auditorium. A business center and a Harmon Hall language building are present. Sports fields and two cafeterias are also on site. There are parking lots and a UNEVE residence for foreign students.

Admission to UNEVE requires several steps. Applicants must pre-register online and submit documents. These include academic transcripts and a personal statement. Applicants then take the CENEVAL exam. Successful candidates attend a preparatory course before final enrollment.

UNEVE extends its academic offerings through various diplomas, courses, and seminars. These programs complement students’ professional development. Diploma options include Solidarity Economy for Aging Projects and University Teaching. Students can study Basic Herbal Medicine.

UNEVE also provides English courses through Harmon Hall. This program aligns with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
