UChicago Charter School Woodlawn Campus is a public charter school. It’s part of the Chicago Public Schools district. The school serves students from 6th to 12th grade. In 2010, the UChicago Charter School Woodlawn Campus expanded. A new state-of-the-art high school was constructed. Bulley & Andrews served as the general contractor for this project. The new building is three stories tall and covers 68,000 square feet.
The expansion allowed the school to grow. Enrollment increased from 650 to 750 students. The new facility includes a gymnasium. A college resource center also supports students. A football field and track were added for athletics.
The UChicago Charter School Woodlawn Campus offers many opportunities. Students can contribute to their community through research. They can also serve through volunteering and leadership roles. The school integrates middle and high school. This approach helps students develop a college-going mindset early.

Donald Gordan is the Head of Campus. DeVear Peters Jr. is the Assistant Director. The school day runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. On Wednesdays, there is early dismissal at 1:00 p.m.
