Established in 1991 the UCES Olivos stands proudly. It’s a branch of the Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales. This impressive institution boasts a rich history. Its roots trace back to 1942. The Asociacion de Dirigentes de Venta ADV was founded then. Over time the name changed. In 1983 it became the Asociacion Dirigentes de Empresa ADE. The ADE fostered the creation of the Escuela Superior in 1957. Then came the Fundacion de Altos Estudios en Ciencias Comerciales FAECC in 1964.

The FAECC developed several successful business-oriented programs. However these lacked official recognition initially. In 1983 ministerial approval changed that. The FAECC became an officially incorporated institute. It could then award official degrees. By 1988 a team of university graduates was assembled. Their task was to create a university project. This team was headed by Dr Horacio A O’Donnell then president of ADE. The team studied various national and private universities. They also consulted over 150 foreign universities.

Their project proposed a new approach. It stressed the integration of theory practice and research. The method of case studies was crucial. The project received approval. It led to the creation of the Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales UCES. The UCES opened in October 1991. Its structure included faculties of Business Sciences and Communication Sciences. Initial degrees offered included Business Administration Foreign Trade and Journalism.

The UCES Olivos campus is a part of the wider UCES network. It offers a variety of programs reflecting the main university’s commitment to excellence. It continues to evolve. It adapts to the changing needs of the business and social landscape. This branch plays a significant role in the local community. It serves as a center of learning. Students and faculty contribute significantly to Olivos and beyond. The UCES Olivos is more than just a university. It is a vibrant hub of intellectual activity and a testament to the enduring pursuit of knowledge.
