In 2001, the UCC inaugurated this modern auditorium, complete with a balcony and a seating capacity of 750 people. The event marked the second graduation ceremony for Industrial Engineers and those receiving degrees in Business Administration, Tourism and Hotel Administration, International Trade, and Computer Science. The UCC – Auditorio Mayor has since become a focal point for academic ceremonies. In August 2022, the auditorium hosted the 31st graduation ceremony. Forty new professionals proudly received their titles in fields ranging from Tourism and Hotel Business Administration to Civil Engineering. The rector of UCC, Zobeida Kiesler Bergman, addressed the graduates, urging them to seek personal fulfillment and contribute meaningfully to society.
