What if a church could reinvent itself? Trinity West Seattle stands as a testament to just that. Formerly known as Mars Hill Church-West Seattle, this place embarked on a transformative journey in the fall of 2015. Trinity West Seattle emerged from the dissolution of Mars Hill, embracing independence and a renewed sense of purpose. The familiar faces of Pastors David Fairchild and Cliff Ellis remained, guiding the congregation through this transition. Pastor Ellis, notably, had been a vocal advocate for change within Mars Hill, signing a letter urging the resignation of its controversial founder, Mark Driscoll. This pivotal moment paved the way for the church’s rebirth as Trinity West Seattle. The church launched its new identity with a thought-provoking sermon series: “Long Story Short: Finding Ourselves in the Biblical Drama.” This series aimed to engage both seekers and skeptics, inviting them to explore their place within the biblical narrative. Trinity West Seattle continues to serve the community, hosting Sunday services at 10 a.m. It’s a place where the echoes of the past intertwine with the promise of the future, offering a space for spiritual exploration and community connection.
