Amidst the bustling energy of Airport Boulevard, rises the Travis County North Campus. It stands as a testament to innovative urban development, a beacon of progress in the heart of Austin. Travis County North Campus isn’t just a cluster of buildings. It’s a vibrant hub where government services, residential life, and community spirit converge. Completed in 2021, this 3.09-acre campus represents a significant investment in Travis County’s future. The project was a collaboration between Travis County and Southwest Strategies / DMA Companies. The campus houses a modern 84,000-square-foot office building. This building isn’t solely dedicated to governmental affairs. It also features ground-floor retail spaces, creating a dynamic environment where work and leisure intertwine. Alongside the office building stands Travis Flats, a 146-unit residential complex. This building caters to a diverse community, offering a mix of affordable and market-rate units. Travis Flats provides more than just apartments. It boasts community rooms, a theater, and inviting outdoor spaces perfect for families. Travis County North Campus also addresses a critical need in the growing community. It provides much-needed urban workforce housing, including accommodations for County employees. The project aimed to upgrade Travis County’s offices and create a vibrant mixed-use space. It has successfully achieved both. Travis County North Campus is more than just bricks and mortar. It is a symbol of progress, community, and forward-thinking urban development in Austin.
