“What is Life Change?” I ask you to consider as we stand before Town North Presbyterian Church. It is more than just a question. It is an invitation to participate in a program started right here.
Town North Presbyterian Church is a place where faith meets action. Each member commits to putting 25 cents per day into a Life Change bank. This might seem small. But together it makes a big impact for world missions.
The money is brought to church on the third Sunday of each month. It is deposited as a special offering of sacrifice. A church of 300 members could raise $27375.00 a year if everyone participates.
Over the years Town North has accomplished much through Life Change. These include church planting projects in Mexico City. They also sent a Mexican national to Atlanta for assessment as a church planter. The church supported the Mexico/Texas border church planting effort. It paid half the budget for a church plant in Saltillo. They also contributed to a theology library in Chile.
Town North Presbyterian Church assisted a woman in mission trips to Russia. They helped purchase a church building in Guadalajara Mexico. The church supports church planting efforts in Guadalajara. They also helped establish libraries for pastor training in Chile, Mexico and Nairobi.
Town North Presbyterian Church provided support for youth mission trips. They also supported members on extended missions. God used this example to encourage other churches to use Life Change. The church supported a missionary couple working in Ukraine. They also supported many special projects when missionaries needed funds.
Town North calls its members to be good stewards. God has given us an opportunity to be part of His mission. What will we give to change lives for our Lord’s mission?
