The Town Hall of Pantin. A symphony in stone and light, wouldn’t you say? This grand dame, with her neo-Renaissance flourishes, has been the heart of Pantin since the late 19th century. Imagine the stories these walls could tell. The Town Hall of Pantin officially became the district’s town hall in 1886. The building itself, however, was actually completed several years earlier in 1850. Over the years, the Town Hall of Pantin has seen it all, from joyous celebrations to solemn assemblies. Inside, you’ll find a majestic central staircase, leading up to the grand wedding hall and a beautiful ballroom. The decorations within depict scenes from Pantin’s history, interwoven with republican symbols and other allegories. In 2017, the Town Hall of Pantin was officially recognized for its beauty and historical significance. It was designated a historic monument and underwent a major restoration. While the exterior restoration is complete, the interior awaits its own revitalization, promising to further enhance this architectural gem. So, let’s raise a toast to the enduring spirit of Pantin, embodied in the elegant facade of its Town Hall!
