Curious about what makes Thomas’s Academy a school of choice? Thomas’s Academy stands before us. It is more than just a school. It’s a place where young minds grow and flourish.

Thomas’s Academy became an academy in 2015. It was formerly New King’s Primary. The school wanted more control. Thomas’s London Day Schools stepped in to help.

Thomas’s London Day Schools started in 1977. They improved schools and focused on education. Ben and Tobyn Thomas saw potential. They wanted to include a state partnership. This would raise educational ambitions. Thomas’s Academy then focused on four cornerstones. These cornerstones create a vibrant community.

The four cornerstones are ‘Be Kind’, ‘Learn to Learn’, ‘Grow Together’ and ‘Create Beauty’. ‘Be Kind’ emphasizes social development. ‘Learn to Learn’ focuses on learning attitudes. These include being reflective and inquisitive. ‘Grow Together’ promotes global-mindedness. ‘Create Beauty’ expects excellent work from all pupils.

Thomas’s London Day Schools helped balance the budget. They attracted funds to transform the building. Specialist staff were funded for music and art. They also supported outdoor learning and sports. The academy could then spend more on each pupil.

Thomas’s Academy is now a school of choice. It delivers on the hopes of its community. Thomas’s London Day Schools still support it. They believe that better never ends. The academy now stands on its own.

Suzanne Kelly is the Principal of Thomas’s Academy. She describes it as inclusive, innovative and inspirational. The school caters to pupils aged 3 to 11. It has a mixed gender intake. The school has capacity for 240 pupils. Currently 206 pupils attend.

Thomas’s Academy is located on New King’s Road in Fulham. This places it in the heart of London. The academy is a charitable company. It is limited by guarantee.

Thomas’s London Day Schools is a member. Stuart Ritchie KC and Sarah Jane Bailes are also members. They ensure the academy’s smooth running.

Thomas’s London Day Schools also runs other preparatory schools. These are located in Kensington, Battersea and Clapham. These schools feed into major British public schools. These include Eton and Harrow.

Thomas’s Academy aims to provide a great education. It focuses on kindness, learning, growth and beauty. It strives to be a school of choice. It wants to deliver on the hopes of its community every day. Thomas’s Academy stands as a beacon of learning. It shapes the future, one child at a time.
