The First World War delayed its official incorporation until 1917.
Despite the obstacles the school persevered. It relocated several times within London. Its final move to Borough High Street marked a significant step. Princess Anne became its patron in 1984 showing the institution’s rising importance. In 1997 she officially opened the new building on Borough High Street.
