Look closely at the gate. Admire the intricate details carved into the white marble and granite facade. Notice the floral motifs and the imposing lion heads that adorn the cornice. These are the echoes of a glorious past. Even the Queen of Sheba, according to legend, passed through the central arch on her way to visit King Solomon in Aspendos. Today, as you stand before The Roman Gate, you stand in the footsteps of emperors, queens, and countless travelers who have passed through its arches over the centuries.
