From a small gathering to a thriving community, The Lord’s Vineyard Covenant Community-Quezon City Household has a fascinating story. The Lord’s Vineyard Covenant Community began humbly in 1982. It started as a small fellowship called “Jesus The Vine Fellowship” in the home of Bobby and Mercy Cordova in San Juan, Metro Manila. Led by Butch Belgica, along with the Cordovas, the Tans, the Nabongs, and other families, the fellowship quickly grew. The Lord’s Vineyard Covenant Community soon moved to the Sta. Mesa Market, the current site of SM Centerpoint. Pastors Ramon Banta and Ramon Clutario joined the growing congregation. They then moved to a larger house in Ermin Garcia Street in Cubao, Quezon City. Here, The Lord’s Vineyard Covenant Community focused on campus evangelism and the Island Evangel Gospel Ship ministry. After a few years in Ermin Garcia Street, they relocated to their current location. The Lord’s Vineyard Covenant Community now resides in Room 414 of the Puzon Building at the corner of E. Rodriguez and Gilmore Avenues in Quezon City. In 1988, The Lord’s Vineyard Covenant Community underwent a significant shift in leadership. Moving from a single pastor model, they adopted a biblical plurality of elders. Butch Belgica became the Senior Elder. Pastor Ramon Banta started a new congregation in Manila, while Pastor Ramon Clutario pioneered work in Malolos, Bulacan. The Lord’s Vineyard Covenant Community continued to grow and mature. Embracing their role as a church, they established a formal covenant relationship.
