Did you know that Lea Valley Academy wasn’t always known by this name? The school, situated right here in the Bullsmoor area of Enfield, was originally established in 1977 as Bullsmoor School. This new comprehensive school later became Lea Valley High School. In the early 2000s, Lea Valley High School embraced a new identity, becoming the first specialist sports college in Enfield in 2002. This period marked a time of significant transformation for the school. Not only did it receive a brand-new building in 2003, but it also gained recognition for its academic improvement, ranking as one of the top 30 improved schools in the country in 2009. Fast forward to 2018, Lea Valley High School underwent another significant change, converting to an academy. Now known as Lea Valley Academy, the school is proudly sponsored by the EdAct Trust, continuing its journey of providing quality education to the next generation.
