The school was formerly known as The Lakes South Morang P-9 School. It has grown into a dynamic educational institution. Bill Panas is the current principal as of June 2023.

The Lakes South Morang College has two campuses. Let’s start with the primary campus. Here, young minds begin their educational adventure. This campus includes key areas. These are the administration area and general-purpose classrooms. Classrooms open onto flexible learning spaces. There is also an art room. A library supports the students. Students use iPads in each class to enhance their learning.

The secondary campus caters to older students. It features an administration area. This area has a professional development resource centre. There are 20 general-purpose classrooms too. These classrooms connect to flexible learning areas. An arts precinct inspires creativity. A gymnasium promotes physical activity. Performing arts spaces allow for theatrical expression. Food technology facilities and a canteen provide practical skills. The research and development precinct is impressive. It houses science labs and a design studio. There is also a dance studio. The Lakes South Morang College offers a comprehensive curriculum. It follows the Victorian Curriculum from Prep to Year 10. VCE is offered for Years 11 and 12. Subjects include English, Math, and Humanities. Science, Health, and Physical Education are also taught. Students learn Languages like AUSLAN. Design and Digital Technology are part of the curriculum. The Arts include Music, Dance, Drama, Media, Visual Arts, and Visual Communication.
