The church’s journey reflects the dynamism of its members. Once located in Round Rock at 700 S. I-35, The Holy Cross Coptic Orthodox Church moved to Cedar Park. The new address is 900 Holy Cross Drive. The relocation was prompted by a need for more space.
Two-thirds of the members lived in Cedar Park and Leander. This made Cedar Park a logical choice. The move allowed The Holy Cross Coptic Orthodox Church to better serve its community. The new location opened in September.

The Holy Cross Coptic Orthodox Church offers many activities. These include three weekly liturgies. There are Bible studies and Sunday school for children. Classes are available. Summer activities and monthly meetings occur for men, women, and children. The new location plans to add even more. Sunday school for adults is planned. An academy will offer courses on faith-related topics.

“Coptic” derives from the Greek “Aigyptos” meaning “Egyptian”. Arabs called Egyptians “qibt” in the seventh century. Thus, “qibt” meant both “Egyptians” and “Christians”. “Orthodoxy” signifies the preservation of the “Original Faith”. Copts defended the Old Creed.
