A small Catholic school, with a long, winding history, its beginnings can be traced back to 1986, when it opened its doors in a family’s home in Highland Park, Dallas. Today, it’s a much bigger and more advanced facility, nestled in Irving. This is The Highlands School. The Highlands School is a PK-12 institution. It is known for its Catholic upbringing and its dedication to teaching an Integral Formation program, where the intellectual, spiritual, character, and apostolic developments of each student are fostered. The Highlands School strives to provide a holistic education that prepares students for college and beyond. While upholding a strong Catholic identity, they welcome students from all religious backgrounds. They offer a variety of academic and extracurricular activities. The Highlands School has a strong track record of success in sports, reaching the state soccer finals in 1999 and 2000, as well as boasting a state high jump champion. Its bright red and navy blue colors are easily recognizable.
