“Every good story starts at the pub” they say. Here at The Duke of Sussex, we’re ready to begin another chapter. This isn’t just any pub, but a place where history and modern life intertwine.

The Duke of Sussex. The very name evokes images of royalty and tradition. But this gastropub in Waterloo offers something more. It is a place for delicious pub food and drinks. You’re just a short walk from Waterloo, Southwark, and Lambeth North tube stations.

Step inside The Duke of Sussex. You’ll find a recently refurbished space. It is designed to surprise and delight.

Our chefs freshly prepare pub classics all week. On Sundays, relax with a bottle of wine. Enjoy our traditional British Sunday Roast. We have a scrummy menu for the little ones that pleases kids and parents alike.

Gin enthusiast? Ask about our signature gin. It is skilfully infused on-site by our expert bartenders. Cocktail lover? We have carefully curated our cocktail menu to surprise even the sternest critics.

Once a handsome Victorian boozer, The Duke now serves a modern menu with a rustic Spanish influence. We pride ourselves on our fresh seasonal menu, ever-changing real ales and great wine list. We have a lively bar and a beautiful dining room with an open kitchen.

While you’re enjoying your time here, let’s talk about another Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry. Born Henry Charles Albert David on September 15, 1984. He is the younger son of King Charles III and Princess Diana.

Prince Harry’s early life included time at Mrs. Mynors’ Nursery School. He later attended Wetherby School. Like his brother William, Harry went to Ludgrove School. Then he joined William at Eton College. This broke the Windsor tradition of attending Gordonstoun.

After Eton, Harry spent his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He entered the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2005. He was commissioned as a Cornet in the Blues and Royals. Harry served two tours of duty in Afghanistan. He founded the Invictus Games in 2014, an international sporting event for injured veterans.

In 2018, Harry married Meghan Markle at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. The Queen created him Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton, and Baron Kilkeel on his wedding day.

Harry and Meghan have two children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. In 2020, they stepped back as senior royals. They now live in California.
