The COPPEAD Graduate School of Business began in 1973. It emerged as a program within the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro’s engineering programs. In 1980, The COPPEAD Graduate School of Business found its own building on the UFRJ campus. Soon after, it achieved autonomy within the university. This marked its transformation into The COPPEAD Graduate School of Business.
