Nearly two-thirds of the city was destroyed. But the people of Bremen rebuilt their city. They restored its unique character. Today the Hohweg is part of a thriving city. Bremen is a major center for culture and the economy in Northern Germany. It’s a reminder that even in quiet corners of the city, history echoes through the streets.
