How many of you have ever arrived at Heathrow Airport feeling a bit lost? Well, this is Terminal 2B. It’s part of the newest terminal at Heathrow, known as The Queen’s Terminal. Opened in 2014, Terminal 2B replaced the old Terminal 2, which was originally called the Europa Building. This new terminal is designed with a ‘toast rack’ layout, maximizing space by placing the building perpendicular to the runways. Interestingly, Terminal 2B is specifically designed for international carriers. This means if you’re flying to Europe, you’ll likely be in the neighboring Terminal 2A. But don’t worry, they’re seamlessly connected. Now, as you wander through this bustling hub, spare a thought for the old Terminal 2. It stood on this very spot for almost sixty years, witnessing over 300 million passengers pass through its doors. Imagine the stories those walls could tell.
