Behold Tepeköy Cami a testament to faith and community. This mosque isn’t just a building. It’s a living story etched in stone and whispered on the wind.

Tepeköy Cami stands proudly in Istanbul’s Beykoz district. It’s a vital part of the Incirköy Mahallesi neighborhood. Its location speaks to its deep connection with the community. It’s more than a place of prayer. It’s a heart of the neighborhood.

The original mosque was built long ago during the time of Mulla Mustafa. However the current structure is relatively new. In 1996 the people of Tepeköy decided to renovate their old mosque. This decision wasn’t without controversy. Rumors circulated about concerns over the mosque’s qibla. The direction of prayer had supposedly been inaccurate. This led to a significant undertaking a complete rebuild.

Construction of the new Tepeköy Cami finished on May 20 1997. Remarkably this monumental task took only one year. Tepeköy residents both at home and abroad contributed generously to fund this project. It truly represents their collective devotion and effort.

A tragic event marked the project’s completion. Nihat Tekin a generous benefactor passed away from a heart attack. He had made significant contributions to the construction. In a touching tribute the villagers named the new mosque in his honor the Nihat Tekin Mosque.

Today Tepeköy Cami stands as a symbol of Tepeköy. It’s the largest and most beautiful mosque among the surrounding villages. This impressive structure draws visitors from far and wide. It serves as a constant reminder of faith resilience and the power of community. A visit to Tepeköy Cami offers more than architectural appreciation. It’s a journey into the heart of a community its history and enduring spirit.
