Over the years, Teatret Gruppe 38 has called several places home. Their journey began in a modest backhouse on Frederiksgade. They later charmed audiences in a former auction house on Mejlgade, the Auction Stage. In 2004, their story unfolded in a former soap factory, now known as Filmhuset. Finally, in 2019, Teatret Gruppe 38 found its forever home here at Pier 4. Imagine, a purpose-built theater with two stages, right by the water’s edge at Bassin 7! The theater is known for its unpredictable and thought-provoking performances. Teatret Gruppe 38 pushes the boundaries of traditional theater, encouraging audiences to question, reflect, and imagine. They are masters of their craft, awarded the prestigious Reumert Prize, Denmark’s highest theatrical honor, multiple times! Their international acclaim is undeniable. They invite you to experience their unique blend of whimsy and poetry, a theatrical journey that stays with you long after the curtains fall.
