Consider stepping into a realm where visual communication transcends mere imagery. This is precisely what Sune Amstrup Studio offers. Sune Amstrup Studio is a hub for innovative design and artistic expression.

Sune Amstrup, the creative force behind the studio, is not just a designer. He is a visual storyteller. He crafts narratives through a range of media.

The studio’s work spans diverse projects. Sune Amstrup Studio provides visual communication and design consulting. Some notable clients include the National Bank and the Danish Union of Journalists. Krabbesholm College and Stenholt Glas also feature on the list.

One particularly fascinating project is the development of concept bank notes. This was created in close collaboration with Katrine Shackleton Nissen. These notes explore Danish history through art. They highlight significant periods. These include the Stone Age and the Viking Age. The Renaissance and the 1960s are also represented. Even our own time gets a look in.

Each bank note features architectural designs. These designs represent different eras. A burial mound symbolizes the Stone Age. A longhouse stands for the Viking Age. Rosenborg Castle embodies the Renaissance. The National Bank represents the 1960s. The Black Diamond represents contemporary architecture.

As a security feature, the studio uses UV printing. The buildings from the A-side of the notes are highlighted. This is only visible under ultraviolet light.

Watermarks feature a royal fern. This links all notes. The fern has existed since the Stone Age. Its Latin name even has Saxon roots, linking it to Thor.

Sune Amstrup Studio also created the visual identity for Gode Penge’s Summer High School in 2024. This is now something of a tradition. Gode Penge promotes a fair, democratic, and sustainable economy.

Sune Amstrup curated the “Embrace Pleasure” exhibition for Club Curious. He also designed its visual identity. Sune contributed his photo series. It explores the gap between pornography and real sexual experiences.

Looking at Sune Amstrup’s series called family photos the subjects depicted are blurry and distorted. Faces and bodies appear strangely surreal. It looks like typical holiday and wedding photos, but an algorithm has moved around the pixels. It is a concrete embodiment of divorce and perhaps also of the pain of the memories involved. The family is no longer what it used to be. Even though everything has become garbled, you still feel its presence lingering in the pictures.

Sune Amstrup Studio creates visual solutions. These solutions resonate deeply. The studio blends artistic vision with practical design. It delivers work that is both beautiful and meaningful.
