Archeologists found an axe from the Bronze Age, suggesting a burial ground and settlement had been close to Stockley Park’s grounds. The land was owned by the Dawley Manor and the Colham Manor and was later used for gravel extraction for a good part of the 20th century. It was only when the need for a sustainable space arose that Stockley Park was born. Stockley Park, as we know it today, was officially opened by the Prince of Wales in 1986. A testament to Sir Stuart Lipton’s vision, the site was designed as a business park, with recreational space for the community.
