Established in 1995 Stella Maris started small. It began as a kindergarten and elementary school. Drg Strella founded Stella Maris. She wanted to fulfill her late husband’s dream. He envisioned a quality school for children at the Padang Gembala Orphanage. Initially Stella Maris operated from a modest shop in BSD Sector XIV. Two years later a branch opened in Gading Serpong now Summarecon Serpong. It also offered kindergarten education. In 1995 Stella Maris added middle school. By 2000 Stella Maris had a new location in BSD Sector XII. A high school opened in 2001. Stella Maris embraced progress. In 2004 it obtained ISO certification. Management changed from the Kasih Abadi Foundation to PT Stella Maris International Education. A significant shift occurred in 2007. Stella Maris introduced international programs across all levels. A new building Stella Maris International opened in Sector 8A Gading Serpong. Today Stella Maris has two institutions. Stella Maris School offers a national curriculum in Bumi Serpong Damai Sector XII. Stella Maris International School provides an international curriculum in Gading Serpong Sector 8A. Expansion continued. In 2009 a branch opened in Pantai Indah Kapuk North Jakarta. Another opened in Jambi in 2011. Stella Maris’s commitment to education is remarkable. Its growth reflects a dedication to providing quality education to many. Its history is a testament to perseverance and vision. The school’s journey from a humble beginning to its current stature is inspiring. Stella Maris continues to shape young minds and contribute to the community.
